Meditation refers to a mental practice which generally consists of attention paid to a some object, at the level of thought, emotions, the body. In a spiritual approach, it can be an exercise, even a way of self-realization and awakening.

This practice can seek to produce inner peace, emptiness of the mind, altered states of consciousness, progressive appeasement of the mind or even simple relaxation. Certain meditation techniques, such as mindfulness, can be used in a therapeutic or secular setting.

The practice of ASMR (Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response) was developed from 2010. It is based on a visual, auditory, olfactory or cognitive stimulus in a calm environment.

Many youtube channels have developed since then. They present often soft and calm music for relaxation and meditation.
